BEIJING, Apr.22 (CHINA MINING) The press briefing for the 2025 (27th) China Mining Conference and Exhibition was held in Beijing. Che Changbo, Vice Chairman of the conference organizing committee, Secretary-General of the China Mining Association, and spokesperson, introduced the key highlights and features of this year's event to the attending media. Xu Lianhe, Second-Level Inspector of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources, also attended and delivered remarks. The briefing was chaired by Zhao Kuitao, Deputy Director of the organizing committee office and Deputy Secretary-General of the China Mining Association.

The conference, guided by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and hosted by the China Mining Association, will take place from October 23rd to 25th at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center. Under the theme of "Connect and Collaborate, Co-Build and Co-Share," the event upholds the principles of openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation, aiming to build a global platform for mining industry communication and foster a new, fair, just, open, and inclusive development landscape.

 

As one of the world’s largest and most influential mining exhibitions, the China Mining Conference and Exhibition focuses on critical areas such as global mineral resource supply-demand dynamics and emerging technology applications. It analyzes industry trends, releases key reports, and provides decision-making references for global mining professionals, playing a pivotal role in facilitating exchanges and cooperation across mineral exploration, development, and beyond.

 

Che Changbo highlighted the following features of this year’s conference:

 

1. Theme Aligned with Global Trends, Emphasizing Win-Win Cooperation

The theme, "Connect and Collaborate, Co-Build and Co-Share," reflects the current era’s demand for openness and collaboration amid profound geopolitical shifts and rising unilateralism. The conference seeks to bridge communication gaps in the global mining sector, deepen international cooperation, and promote a sustainable and healthy future for the industry.

 

2. Release of Key Industry Reports, Offering Expert Insights

Several major reports will be unveiled, including the China Mineral Resources Report 2025, Global Mining Development Report 2025, and China Mining Law Review 2025. New additions include the 2025 China Mining Listed Companies Research Report, which ranks mining enterprises based on five key financial metrics, and the China Mining Development Report (2025), showcasing high-quality industry achievements and energy security practices.

 

3. Expanded Exhibition Space, Highlighting Mining Innovation

The exhibition will feature broader coverage and stronger specialization, with dedicated zones for intelligent mining, geological surveys, and exploration equipment. Emphasis will be placed on digital mining and green technology innovations.

 

4. Launch of a Trading Platform to Boost Market Vitality

A pilot mineral rights secondary market trading platform will debut, offering transparent project listings and innovative auction models. Integrating "Internet + Mining," the platform aims to optimize resource allocation and energize the secondary market.

 

5. Enhanced Global Engagement, Broadening International Exchange

New international initiatives include inviting top global mining companies and ministers, facilitating ministerial dialogues, and strengthening ties with international mining bodies. The conference will also expand outreach to Global South nations, fostering cross-border partnerships.

The agenda features high-level forums with experts from the Development Research Center of the State Council and ICMM, alongside thematic discussions on green mining, ecological restoration, and legal policies.
