Due to the pandemic, the 22nd China Mining Conference and Exhibition in 2020 adopted a hybrid format (combining in-person and virtual exhibitions), attracting participation from enterprises and pavilions across 35 countries and regions. The opening ceremony was attended by 8 ambassadors to China and nearly 100 representatives from domestic and international enterprises, financial institutions, and industry associations. The total number of offline participants in the conference was 388, with 45 speakers and 13 foreign guests, accounting for 28.8%; there were 312 exhibitors in the conference, of which 70 were foreign organizations, accounting for 22.4%. The conference included a theme forum, 6 thematic forums, 4 country promotion seminars (Argentina, Peru, South Africa, Madagascar) and 12 mining project promotion seminars. The exhibition covered the whole mining industry chain, including mining technology and equipment, mining and metallurgy, mining project development, geological survey and exploration, finance and third-party services.
