The 20th China Mining Conference and Exhibition in 2018 attracted over 11,000 attendees, including enterprises and pavilions from 69 countries and regions, 10 ministers or vice ministers of foreign mining authorities, 9 ambassadors to China, and representatives from more than 1,000 domestic and international mining enterprises, financial institutions, and industry associations. The conference featured a comprehensive agenda with 1 theme forum, 10 high-level forums, and 50 thematic forums. Additionally, 420 exhibitors (including 93 foreign organizations) occupied 512 booths, covering the entire mining industry chain—from geological survey and exploration to mining, metallurgy, technology, and financial services. Nine countries and regions organized 10 project promotion activities, including South Africa, Afghanistan, Australia, Nigeria, Canada, Argentina, Rwanda, and Bolivia. Notably, China Mining Association and China Minmetals Corporation jointly promoted over 70 exploration projects involving minerals such as gold, silver, lithium, potassium, and copper. These projects spanned multiple countries and regions, including Argentina, Canada, Mozambique, Kazakhstan, and several domestic provinces.
