The 17th China Mining Conference and Exhibition in 2015 attracted over 9,000 delegates and professional visitors from 55 countries and regions, including more than 1,000 foreign participants. Attendees comprised 12 mining ministers or vice ministers from 20 countries and regions, 11 ambassadors to China, 9 directors or deputy directors of organizations, such as the Geological Survey, the World Bank, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and other international organizations, as well as representatives from over 1,000 domestic and foreign mining enterprises, financial institutions, consulting firms, scientific research institutes, industry associations, and societies. The conference featured a diverse agenda, including the Theme Forum, International Mining Ministers’ Forum, IGS Directors’ Forum, High-Level Forum on Mining Development, 21 sub-forums, 13 national (regional) project promotion meetings, 3 popular science lectures, and 1 training session. These events received general attention and active engagement from participants throughout the conference.
